NECESSARY FINDINGS
Before any map amendment is granted, the Planning Commission
and/or Fiscal Court must find that:
1) The map amendment is in
agreement with the county’s comprehensive plan.
2) That the original zoning
classification given to the property was inappropriate
or improper, and/or,
3) That there have been
major changes of an economic, physical, or social nature
within the area involved which were not anticipated in
the county’s comprehensive plan, which have substantially
altered the basic character of such area.
Before making recommendations to the Meade County Fiscal
Court on a proposed map amendment, the Planning Commission
shall make findings of fact, as required by Kentucky Revised
Statutes, Chapter 100, and shall forward it’s findings
of fact and recommendation in writing to the Meade County
Fiscal Court.
